McCain Suspends Campaign
NBC, MSNBC and news services NEW YORK - Republican John McCain said Wednesday he is directing his staff to work with Democrat Barack Obama's campaign and the presidential debate commission to delay Friday's debate because of the economic crisis. In a statement, McCain said he will stop campaigning after addressing former President Clinton's Global Initiative session on Thursday and return to Washington to focus on the nation's financial problems. -Ignorance is preferable to error, and he is less remote from the truth who believes nothing than he who believes what is wrong. Obama likely to keep debate as McCain seeks delay (AP)
AP - Republican presidential nominee John McCain challenged rival Barack Obama on Wednesday to suspend their heated campaign, postpone Friday's debate and work together to deal with the nation's financial troubles. Obama did not immediately respond to his rival's bold political move, but Obama campaign officials say the senator is inclined to move ahead with the debate.
The other PINK meat!
Debates are a unilateral kinda thing. If someone wants a change, they either get it or walk. It just doesn't look good to sit there and debate yourself.
I have seen a lot of press against McCain so far, but, IMHO, I think he has taken the lead that can't be ignored.......

I was just wondering to myself, the time is set aside, the place is being prepared, if Obama doesn't want to cancel and it isn't ~ will they give him a solo platform?

McCain went for the $$$ and to help Bush. $ 700 b bailout would help executives who will (and have) write checks, pay to the order of "RNC". A few extra $ billion at this time would help the McCain campaign.
