Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton says she made a mistake in claiming that she came under hostile fire when landing in Bosnia as first lady 12 years ago.
In several recent interviews, the New York senator had described a harrowing scene in Bosnia in which she and her daughter, Chelsea, had to run for cover as soon as they landed for a visit in 1996. But video footage of the day showed a peaceful reception in which Clinton greeted a young child on the tarmac.
Clinton told reporters in Pennsylvania on Tuesday: "So I made a mistake. That happens. It shows I'm human, which for some people is a revelation."
Is erred the same as lied now? I've always said I don't trust Hillary, but I must defend my boy Al.....

This is the link to the real deal. Al Gore never claimed to invent the internet. Although, "In May 2005, the organizers of the Webby Awards for online acheivements honored Al Gore with a lifetime acheivement award for three decades of contributions to the internet."
When few people outside academia or the defense industries had heard of the internet, Gore sponsored the 1988 National High Performance Computer Act (which established a national computing plan and helped link universities and libraries via a shared network) and co-sponsored the Information, Infrastructure, and Technology Act of 1992 (which opened the internet to commercial traffic).
So while he certainly didn't "invent" the internet, he played a role in making it common in our households today.

I'm not quite sure how she made a 'mistake', something like that you wouldn't forget about. Just like I'll never forget the time I opened a motel room door in Memphis, Tenn. to a pistol in my face. I remember everything about it. I don't think I would say that it happened in Iowa, Missouri, or North Carolina, 3 other places I was during that same time period. I would be lying if I did. And I know it. She didn't err, she lied, or she is suffering from sometimers, precursor to Alzheimers, and she doesn't need to be sitting in an oval office when it kicks in. :O
I've heard the talking heads state that Hillary was merely "embellishing" her story - to make it more interesting, and that she should not be looked upon as having lied.
Here's a definition of embellish: "to increase the interest of (a story etc) by adding (untrue) details."
Other definitions note that by embellishing, you are adding "truthful" additions to improve upon the impact of the story.
I guess she was merely embellishing and the voter will have to decide which defined use of the word the talking heads are utilizing in her defense.
...or are they defending her?
Life has become much more interesting since the word "is" was redefined.
She lied. Period.

I am not necessarily a Hill fan, but I do believe it is embellishment. Like so many other things, there are degrees of embellishment ~ and this does, certainly approach the excessive side. My brother was an extreme embellisher in our youth. Now, to say that WMD was embellishment on the bush's part, ah,,,, no ~ that was a lie!

I wanted to add, this is just one more Clinton thing that disturbs me. Like, ,you know, do I want 4 to 8 years of this after 28 years of Bushs, Reagan and Clinton?
