I know you guys are in the "Basketball Belt", but please indulge me a place to brag on my boys!  The Tigers are poised this year to go to the Final Four.  It's time Calipari takes them to a national championship, IMO.  I just watched a phenomenal team play Georgetown.  Those kids worked so well together and beat Georgetown by 14 points!  They're currently ranked #2, but if they continue to play the way they did today, they will go all the way!  This makes their 37th straight win at home!

GO TIGERS!!!!!

My Tigers are still Numero Uno in the nation.  They play one of their biggest games of the season this Saturday night at 8 o'clock central time against Tennessee, who's currently ranked #2.  Tickets to this game are being sold online for up to $10,000 a piece!  There have only been 5 times in the history of college basketball where two teams from the same state were ranked #1 and #2 and played each other.  All 5 times, the team ranked #2 has won.  It's time for history to change!  I can't wait til Saturday night!!!

GO TIGERS!!!!

UPDATE:

The proclaimed (at least by Sippy) "Greatest College Basketball Game EVER in the State of Tennessee" ended like the #1 v. #2 contests before it - Tennessee upset Sippy's Mighty Tiggers (Or is it 'Tigers'?).  Anyhoo, UT secured it's first #1 Men's Basketball ranking in the program's 99 year history when the polls came out on Monday!  This momentous occasion was celebrated a day later by losing the #1 ranking with a crushing defeat at the hands of Vanderbilt!!  "Where is Vanderbilt?" you ask??  You guessed it, ALSO from the great State of Tennessee!!  Now, what was the point of this thread again?

AP Top 25
 1. Tennessee (69) 25-2 1,797
 2. Memphis 26-1 1,682
 3. North Carolina (2) 26-2 1,668

ESPN/USA Today Poll
 1. Tennessee (31) 25-2 775
 2. North Carolina 26-2 726
 3. Memphis 26-1 714

Seems as though you don't have good intel., Irish Fan.  On another note, WTF?  Why is Memphis ranked #3 on the ESPN poll when Tennessee's 25-2 and Memphis is 26-1?  I call BS!!!
