Here's a place to post the weird things you come across. If there's already another one of these let me know, I'll delete it-- this one made me go "Huh?"
The body of deceased Angel Pantoja Medina stands erect and leans against a wall by his coffin during his own wake in his mother's home in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Monday, Aug. 18, 2008. The last wish of Medina, 24, who was found dead on Aug. 15, 2008 underneath a bridge in the capital, was to be standing at his own wake, and was embalmed for the occasion. Yahoo news |

Boy this could open up all kinds of ways to be embalmed and make your last statement...
His brother gives him a kiss.
I am sorry, but I thought the pictures that some people take of family members in caskets were odd, this tops it!

I happen to be one of those people that takes final pictures of their loved ones in their casket. I find nothing wrong with it. What's creepy is those pictures from the past where they actually posed people for a death picture. You couldn't be sure if they were dead or asleep.
This is a strange to me, but this change and this might be one of the new things.... I have my spot a Memorial Park cemetary. Maybe I will be on "Find A Grave" http://www.findagrave.com/ .
There a few from Anderson like Ray Harroun. Hmmm...I just checked and it says Indy is where he is. I could almost swear it is in Anderson at Memorial Park not far from my grand parents and they had a photo of his site.
That's not so weird. Being a genealogist I have used internet resources for years that lead to lists of names of who is in what cemetery. It would be nice if every known grave was compiled into one database and we could access it completely for free. :)
My dad is the last name on this page at find a grave.
