That's not so weird. Being a genealogist I have used internet resources for years that lead to lists of names of who is in what cemetery. It would be nice if every known grave was compiled into one database and we could access it completely for free. :)
My dad is the last name on this page at find a grave.
Clarification (thanks for the correct spelling CC-Gal): I don't think being being on "Find a Grave" is weird....Being stuff at the wake is.
I happen to be one of those people that takes final pictures of their loved ones in their casket. I find nothing wrong with it. What's creepy is those pictures from the past where they actually posed people for a death picture. You couldn't be sure if they were dead or asleep.
I am sorry I did not mean what I said bad, my grandma has an entire album of dead people, and some of them are the only pictures she has of those people, when I was little I used to sit with her and look at the old photo albums, but I used to avoid that one when I was little. Several of the pics look like the caskets were in someones house, which I guess is not much different than someone keeping their loved ones ashes in their house.
Here's a quote from Ronald Reagan: "If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."
I always ask 1st if someone minds. Get a lot of noes.
Which, I cannot understand why anyone is offended that someone will take a picture. I've only ever taken one picture that was not a family member, but he was so close to my sister, my ex and I, that I did take a picture. I have pictures of my second son, my ex's grandmother, my grandmother, my mom's brother, and my dad. I expect, I will take more before my life is over, and I hope that someone cares enough to take my picture then.....as long as it's not a crime scene photo. :O
I agree CC, it is usually older people. I have a feeling that 50 years ago it was kinda taboo. I gotten some people acting, "like, what even makes you think I would even say yes?" attitude also. So, I do know for some it is really strong. Maybe it has something to do with ghosts, or spirits or something?

Or just that they don't want to remember whomever like that. I say if you don't want to remember them like that...don't go to the funeral. You aren't likely to get the image completely out of your mind.

LOL....well yeah...that is a little odd.....but who are we to deny anyone their last wish if it's not harming anyone?
By the way, if you don't know who I am......get to know me. I'll be the one telling you that it's "clarification". ;)
