Okay, I need help (also known as "my adventures in home repair")
|
I've been trying to do as much as I possibly can on my own. But I've come to a point that I just can't do it. Back in March of 2007, I had a friend come over and fix some water pipes running under my bathroom. In August of 2007, I had my water shut off. Apparently between then and now, the pipes that I had repaired have become damaged again. Not only that, my ex-husband had come over and removed the water softener we had. He left the pipes undone when he took it. I managed to get those pipes repaired on my own, (and replaced a gateway valve that was leaking) last Friday. This morning, the water was turned back on, and from what I can hear, the water is not making it to my my bathroom, and the water pressure is so poor, I can't get the cold water to any other faucet in the house. It sounds like it is coming from under the bathroom and utility room. This area is a crawl space and I need someone who has the experience/ability to work in a space like that to come help me. I really don't like asking for help, and I can't pay anyone up front to do the work, but I can buy the parts and I will have a few dollars to spare in a couple of weeks to pay for the work. Is there anyone out there that can assist me? |

Do you know how tall the area is that one would be working in?
I don't know. More than two feet....about all I really know.
Here is a picture of the area that was taken when the pipes were leaking 2 years ago. If that gives any idea how tall the space is. :
Yep I get the idea now, I wish I could help, but that is not me or the person I had in mind, sorry!
j4f I have a man going over to fix it for her .
Thank you Nana. I wish I knew somebody but had no clue.
Sorry. No plumbing experience here to speak of.

Yeah she helped me out. I had called him once already but he didn't return my call, so Nana play as an intermediary and got ahold of him. :) Thanks Nana. :)
I was just crushed when I turned the water on this morning, and didn't have any pressure. But I was proud that the pipes I worked on held up. :D
Was some of the water going under the house on the older pipes? Glad you got it taken care of.
SHE HAD THE MANS NAME I CALLED. SHE HAS TURNED THE WATER OFF.
