Yet another personal attack used as a deflection, Richard.
You choose not to answer the hard questions and you choose not to walk the walk. And with your post above, you are clearly not even talking the talk of a christian. For some, christianity is only a veneer. Scratch it and you find something else underneath. Jesus and christianity was always meant to be more than skin deep. Narrow is the path, it says in Matthew 7:13-14, and many so-called christians stray from it. To be a real christian who will be saved, you must actually walk the walk on the rough and thorny path that Jesus bids you take. You must be a changed man, and depart from your previous ways. Actually walk the walk. There is no substitute for it, if you are a real christian. What happens if you don't walk that walk? Jesus tells you:
Matthew 7:21-29 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many deeds of power in your name?' Then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; go away from me, you evildoers.'
"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on rock. The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on rock. And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell -- and great was its fall!"
Being a real christian is tough stuff. It should be the major focus of your day, especially when you face challenges. Those are God's opportunities for you to practice your christian muscles, since that is your chosen faith, and to earn the fruits of the spirit. You have chosen to make this thread just such a challenge for yourself and you have given yourself the opportunity to practice your christianity. So far, I do not see you taking advantage of this opportunity to practice your fruits of the spirit. Instead, I see you diverging from the straight and narrow path that leads to your salvation.
It behooves you as a christian to walk the walk, Richard.
So far in this thread, many have attempted to intervene and bring a graceful conclusion to it. I include among them Zia with her sense of humor, Braveheart with his riotous cartoon, Total_Mayhem with his olive branches offered to all, krolchiha and Palehorse with their attempts to redirect, and JLSOhio with his caveats. Whether or not they are christians, they have attempted to be the peacemakers which Jesus called blessed in Matt 5:9. I have been perfectly willing to leave it at that each and every time. You have not.
Jesus taught people how to live with one another. He declared the two great commandments: first, to "love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind," and the second, to "love thy neighbor as thyself." Here again, you diverge from the narrow path because you choose to instigate a quarrel with me rather than let any issues end on a grace note. You should take special note of Romans 12:14 where you are twice asked to bless those who curse you and admonished not to retaliate with curses of your own. In this thread, you have ignored both of these, and if you continue to call me names and try heaping allegations on me, you will ignore your christian tenets once again.
If you are a christian, you are called to treat others as you would like to be treated. "All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them." It's called The Golden Rule. Is that what you are doing here, Richard? Is calling me names making you a better christian? Is it proving you to be a christian at all?
Once again, your response - if you choose to make one - will show AFP readers the measure of yourself as a christian.
There are two distinct classes of men - those who pay taxes and those who receive and live upon taxes. - Thomas Paine
You must have balls the size of Montana to go around questioning other peoples faith & saying that they are "doing it wrong" - you can add pompous to the list.
The lesson that I've drawn from your posts is that you are the kind of person who wants to be offended and refuses to accept the truth of my explanations. Apparently you get a pay off for pretending to be a victimized christian. I think it's pretty clear to everyone at this point that you have milked the situation for all it's worth and have now descended into the ridiculous. Instead of looking like a martyred christian, you look like a person who doesn't understand the meaning of your own religion in Matt 6:14-15, and Mark 11:26 and therefore doesn't practice what he preaches. If you did practice your religion, this wouldn't be an issue any more.

What I got out of the Palehorse's story was one guy offended another guy enough that he recieved a kick in his gonads.
As far as the whole "hypocrite of Christian values", well according to the Bible, when Jesus was offended by business being conducted in a house of God, Jesus took a whip and beat a bunch of people with it.
So I guess the lesson here is that if you offend someone (even Jesus) bad enough they'll punish you for your transgression.
Personally I think the only people who need a time out are the ones insulting other peoples religious beliefs, I guarantee if it were Jews or Blacks that were being bashed the folks responsible would have already been booted off the forum.
John 2 something or rather, I'm not motivated enough to look up the exact passage.
As far why folks are punished for offending jews or blacks on this forum, but offending Christians is "OK"? I dunno, you'll have to ask KPaul why he permits the double standard/special protected status for some groups/religions but not for others.

Christianity goes only skin deep for someone like you Richard. You prove it with every post.

Yea because being offended at your anti-Christian bigotry makes me a bad Christian right?
Nope. Like I said:

ya know....if one of you would just not respond to the other one in this thread...it would die off eventually.

KPaul just needs to put a STOP on this thread so no more comments can be added.

But since it's Christians it's "OK" I guess.
Why do you keep bringing up Jews and Blacks?
