So, its a new month, has anyone recieved their electric bill as of yet?

I wonder what we will do if this keeps rising as it has. I worry about the elderly on a truely fixed income. Not the ones that claim they dont know where they will eat the next day but , has a brand new vehicle, goes shopping whenever, you all get the drift. Anyway, what will these people do? Its getting so outrageous, I may look for a tent and a tent city.

And why? so you can call the electric company and ask a question and get a rude person and a snotty remark. Or pass a work crew with 10 people on it and only three are doing anything. I also understand that not everyone could do something in a small area, but give me a break.Any ideas on how to save water?????

It is not the rate on water that kills you every month, it is the sewage part of the bill!

I watched a thing about how you can cut your electricity by putting solar panels on your house, it was on Oprah, I forgot the guys name, he is an actor, but he claims he rides a bicycle to build up energy for toast!

Good point, yes, it is the sewage, which I guess Anderson must have a lot of.

If you water your yard or garden daily, make sure you are calling each month for an adjustment. Or if you use a lot of water outside, like power washing, call and get an adjustment, you are not using the sewer for that water!

I got my electric bill and it was actually lower than last months. As a matter of fact, it's gone down progressively over the last 3 bills. 255 to 223 to 196.

each one of those were for 1 month. Water, sewer, electric, storm water, and the taxes.  If our utility bill is ever under 250, I feel blessed for that month. And we don't even have running hot water, so we are only heating water when we need it.  If I had an electric water heater that worked...my bill would be higher.

Might have something to do with number of people using the power . I have the same problem....
