Anderson Indiana News in the Night

  I was surprised it was as busy as it was last night. Here is what I have for you today.

   3:14 APD was sent to the 1800 block of Drexel for a black GMC parked in the drive with a white male sleeping in it. The caller did not know who it was. The van was gone when the Offices arrived.

 Okay after a short but unintentional break I am back. I would like for all of the people who work for any of the local emergency services who read this to please read my latest blog.

  Here is what I have for you today.

   2:58 APD was sent to Jimbo's parking lot for a fight. The caller said that one of Jimbo's security was battering someone in the parking lot. 2 people went to jail from this call.

 I was looking over my shoulder all night waiting to get picked up. It was not a bad morning with about the typical amount of calls. Here is what I have for you.

   3:01 K-9 4 Traffic stop 22nd and Chase.

   3:30 APD was sent to the 3600 block of Oaklawn for people talking very loud and causing a disturbance. I am not sure what the officers found when they arrived but one of them called for a scene tech and 3 people got a free ride to MCPD.

  2:49 APD was sent to the Rickers at 38th and Madison for a possible drunk driver in a green and silver truck at the pumps.  He had left before they arrived but they spotted him just west of there. I do not believe that he was intoxicated as they let him go.

  3:03 APD was sent to the 4400 block of Bender (I think that is what they said) for an alarm call.

  3:17 APD assisted ISP at 29th and Chase.

  3:34 Engine 6, Medic 3 trouble breathing 2400 block of Lincoln.

   It was a sad morning for an Anderson family this morning as I heard on the scanner that someone I knew ended their life. I was not sure if it was who I thought it was at first but there was later enough information given that I realized who it was. It was not too awfully busy beside that so here is what I have today.

  It was a little slow again while I was out. These later times are hurting what all I hear. I think that I will try to start listening earlier again. Here is what I have for you today.

    3:42 APD was sent to the Village Pantry at 16th and Raible for a female that had just stole beer from there. She left Southbound on Raible in a silver Ford Escort. An APD officer caught someone a little later that I think was the woman that may have did it.

   4:27 APD was sent to the Pizza Hut on Nichol ave for an alarm. It checked secure.

 It was so slow I can do most of this from memory!

   Around 2:40 (missed the actual time) Engine 7 was sent to the 1800 block of Lindberg rd for lifting assistance. A couple us of were thrown when the dispatch gave the address and said Meadowbrook. We  looked at each other and said that is not in Meadowbrook. Later this morning I found out that is the new name of what use to be Rolling Hills.

   At 4:07 An APD officer was in the area of a call that dispatch had him call in for. I never heard where or what. I never even heard the officer clear the scene.

  I started listening much earlier that we actually got started. We did get a late start and I think I missed out on some calls trying to hurry and get done. Here is what I have for you today. 

   2:05 APD was sent to the 2200 block of Lincoln for a woman having trouble with her boyfriend there now.

   2:11 APD was sent to the 1800 block of w 53rd to meet a man. He said that someone had attempted to break into his vehicle. It was a male white between 20-30 years old wearing a white hoodie. Even though he left the man thought that he may still be in the area.

 Here is some more late news.

   2:42 APD is assisting ISP in the 3200 block of Noble.

   2:44 APD was sent to the Motel 6. I did not hear the call but this will have a return call later.

   2:47 APD was transporting several juveniles from Pulaski park. It was a call before I started.

   2:47 APD was assisting ISP at Mounds and Scatterfield.

   2:51 APD traffic stop at 12th and Jackson.

   3:02 APD was out on a subject at 59th and Scatterfield. The subject recieved a pass and a ride.

 Well better late than being the local competition (not mentioning names or initials)! Here is what I have for you from  Yesterday morning.

   3:08 APD traffic stop on Coventry (missed exactly where).

   3:25 APD was sent to the 1200 block of e 28th st. Someone was knocking on a womans door and she was not expecting anyone. She wanted the area checked.

   3:37 APD was sent to the 1900 block of e 5th. The caller could smell the odor of marijuana coming from an upstairs apartment and he wanted it checked out.
