Horse Sense Nature Right through Town

Horse Sense Nature Right through Town

We were driving across town, The Girls thought it was really cool to see a horse rider in town... Nature is everywhere... All you have to do is look and have a Camera.. If you look, you can see the riders shirt is still wet from the Quick rain shower we had.. No window to roll up with this mode of transportation.

With Gas on the rise again, slowly climbing.. Auto makers in trouble with finances & possible shutdowns facing many... Will we return to the Mighty Steed for transit, powering our tools of trade, Traveling from place to place..

Maybe this New age Cowboy has a Good idea to save the economy, stop the possible global footprint we all make.. Not to think about the true enjoyment & relaxation traveling though life at a continual pace, observing Nature as it should be..

We all now seem to want to live in a Instant Gratification world.. Is it time to step back a bit..? Take some time to Smell the Roses.. Ride slowing on the path of discovery.. Something about the serenity aloft a mighty and powerful steed traveling sometimes the road less taken..

That is right from the Horses Mouth..

Interesting, but rider not too bright traveling city streets in this day and age and in Anderson.

Keeping a horse as it should be kept might not be cheaper than gas. lol

Foodie you would know more than myself on this..

So, in the days of yesteryear.. it was more expensive to have a horse than..

Put gas in a vehicle?

Or in todays times with the High cost of feed, vet care, farriers...

Pretty pricey today. 80.00 and up for shoeing if you are lucky every 6-8 weeks, hay,5 bucks and up a bale, grain, bedding, vet etc.

In olden days (so, I have been told) probably not shod, hay grown on the farm and pasture outside in spring, summer and fall. Vet bills probably few and far between except maybe for colic or trouble foaling.

Old times-lots more self sufficient. Part of the good stuff of living in the country.

Just  small averages.. many use more, or less.. as a comparison..

Vehicle payment.. Average Car Payment is $384.00

Month $1536.00 year = $18,432.00

Tank of gas..= $50.00

fill up each week = $200.00 month

12 months a year = $2400.00

Again averages but still close

Vehicle payment per year.. = $18,432.00

Gas for the entire year.......= $   2400.00

Total  transportation cost....= $ 20,832.00

I'm going to buy a horse...Now..

Makes Horse sense to me. lol..

Going to keep it at Foodie Farm.. that way it has grass to eats.. saves JD mowing time... JD's make great companions for horses.. & she can ride it too.

The average cost to board a horse is about the same or more than a car payment

Guess again big boy! Do not live on farm altho there is gate to big pasture out my back door.

Do not ride-really never have. Interested in people associated. Mr Wonderful/Mr AH knew everyone's horse-I knew riders and where from etc.

Prefer my JD to ride if I can keep almost 12 yr grandson off of it.

But thanks anyway for thinking of me. lol

Remember, just me. Family lives elsewhere.

Kind of horse you would buy would not be suitable for an elegant person such as I.

Now the bs sign is really flashing.
