Texas Roadhouse
Tonight the family and I visited Texas Roadhouse to enjoy a meal and celebrate my wife's birthday . We were seated promptly after entering the restaurant and then things went down hill from there . Our waiter , who had more tattoos than a WWI sailor, took our drink order . He then took our food order and said , I'll get this right in for you" . Our mistake was assuming he meant he was giving it to the kitchen staff for preperation . Judging by how long it took to actually get our food I think "I'll get this right in for you" meant he was sending it to FEMA or some other government entity for approval . After approval was granted and our food was delivered to our table , the table where there was a draft that had my wife and daughters freezing, it got even worse . I had ordered a steak cooked medium well ,it was well done and had the texture of what I would describe as compressed meat . The flavor was akin to ...shoe leather .I had to smother it with steak sauce to be able to eat it . My wife had ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and green beans . The mashed potatoes were at best room temperature and the green beans only arrived after we pointed out they were MIA . My youngest daughter's mashed potatoes were also cold . The place wasn't that busy so I can only assume our waiter thought we didn't look thirsty enough to need drink refills during our meal . Our waiter did manage to respond to our table promptly when it came time to pay the bill and collect his tip . Yes I left a tip ,but I vowed to never eat there again ,which made me feel better .

I would have complained to the manager......
the waiter may have put the order in right away...the kitchen staff could have been the ones at fault for taking so long.
Mmm, the title made me hungry. Try Montana Mike's next time. Prices aren't bad, food was good and we had great service on a very busy Friday night.
I don't think we have them in the database yet

Anyone want to go to create content and create a review for it? Thanks.
We had a problem with a take out order being completely wrong last week.
Called in and told them... the manager DELIVERED a brand new dinner to us.
Makes them A-OK in my book.
You could write a complaint on the website, most websites ask if you would like the manager to contact you.
we dont have one in daytona but i have been to probably bout 8 different ones in different states and never had bad exp. im sure they would make it right. if u wasnt happy with your waiter,i bet u wasnt the only one.
Personally, I don't care for the Roadhouse. I just don't see what's so great about it. I leave feeling as though the food was just fair - nothing really special.
I tried Montana Mikes last week and it wasn't bad! I've heard some negative things about it, but I don't have anything negative to say. The food and the service was very good.
Personally, my favorite is Lone Star. Loooooove their Steak Bites w/ BBQ sauce and their prime rib sandwich. I used to be hooked on Garfield's steak and loaded cheese waffle fries. Seems like it isn't as good as it used to be.
When it comes to bad service or bad food, we always let the manager know. Chances are, we weren't the first to have a bad experience at their restaurant that evening and they are usually more than willing to make it right.
I have not tried Montana Mikes yet, I was told it was not very good.
We have a friend that works at Texas Road House as a waitress, we always receive great service, good food and enjoy our stay. We request her section, and only go when she is working or serving.
We do only eat there a few times a year so for the most part our rating would be a good one.
