Spread The Wealth
"Obama wants to spread the wealth" has become one of the McCain campaign's latest catch phrases. The fact of the matter is, the United States has always had a progressive tax code. What Obama wants to do is remove the tax cuts Bush put in place for the rich, and return them to what they were paying under the Clinton years, which is still less than they paid under Reagan. I don't know about anyone else, but in my estimation, the US economy was a great deal stronger during the Clinton administration than it's been during Bush's reign.

Why do Republicans and Conservatives (I separate them because they're not the same animal) not see through the BS McCain is putting out?
Since the RNC, McCain/Palin have done nothing but spew meaningless rhetoric. Where's their plan? They have no plan, other than to smear Obama by putting out misleading campaign ads and feigning insult at innocent comments by Obama that have been taken out of context.
Voting
As an American, and especially as a woman, I appreciate my right to vote. There aren't many things that get me more incensed than people who don't exercise their right to vote. However, there is one.....uneducated voters! People died to give us the right to vote and, to me, it's a slap in the face to those people to go to the polls and vote in ignorance, just as much as it is, if not more, than to not vote at all!
Manners....Or The Lack Thereof!
What is it with people these days??? My 7 year old son and I went to a birthday party today. The child whose birthday it was plays on his soccer team and is an absolutely delightful little boy. But as soon as some of the other guests started arriving, I could see things were going to be going down hill.
Why Can't I Just Get My Nails Done?
It's a long holiday weekend. One of the busiest shopping times of the year. You'd think the local nail salon would be open the day after Thanksgiving or at least two days after. So I've driven there twice now to get my nails done, only to find them closed. The weird thing is, they've taken off for Thanksgiving and they're Vietnamese! I love all people, but why in the heck would a Vietnamese person close down their business for the Thanksgiving Holiday?
