If They Could Talk: Apple Birds

I live in Greensboro, NC with my husband and 5 year old son Zachary.  Until 3 months ago I was the Sr. Manager of Validation at Banner Pharmacaps.  I was laid-off due to downsizing along with several others.  I'm originally from Indianapolis, Indiana.  I was a competitive swimmer for 12 years and my first year of college I swam on scholarship at Ohio State.  I left Ohio State to attend Purdue University after I decided that I couldn't continue swimming and studying for an Engineering degree.  I graduated from Purdue University in 1996 with a degree in Chemical Engineering.  I married Michael Davies (also a Purdue Chemical Engineer grad) in 1998.  I have been drawing cartoons since I was seven years old.  The cartoon I draw now started 10 years ago and after I had my son I decided to try to get them published (my family was always trying to get me to do this).  Five years ago I sent samples to the local newspaper and they replied back right away.  I was first published by the Huntersville Herald in January 2004.  Since being laid off, I email a link (www.freewebs.com/sheridavies) to cartoon samples to newspapers all over the US everyday.  I had 4 newspapers that published “If They Could Talk” a month ago and now I am currently up to 14.
