Pendleton (Madison County) - Early Sunday morning, at approximately 2:10 a.m., Indiana State Police Trooper Kendrick Donald responded to Interstate 69 south bound just south of the Pendleton exit after receiving reports of shots fired. Preliminary investigation has revealed D’Angelo Brown, 18, Indianapolis was southbound on Interstate 69 in a Dodge Avenger passenger car when a vehicle pulled beside his vehicle. Several rounds were fired from the suspect vehicle into the victim’s vehicle striking the front seat passenger and rear seat passenger. It was reported that a black vehicle then left the scene at a high rate of speed.
The two passengers in the Dodge Avenger that were shot were lifelined to Methodist hospital. The driver was not injured. Indiana State Trooper Jason Girt later stopped a black vehicle near the Fishers exit containing four black males. They have been transported to the Pendleton Post where they are being interviewed at this time.

- Chris Middlebrook, 20, Indianapolis, Indiana (Front Seat Passenger)

Update:
Detectives have released four persons of interest after they were stopped on Interstate 69 near the Fisher’s exit by Trooper Jason Girt. Indiana State Police Detectives questioned the four at the Pendleton Post. The investigation is continuing. Troopers are looking along the Interstate for any weapons that may have been thrown from the suspect’s vehicle.
In an update to the victims who were shot, Kinnie McGraw, 22 Indianapolis, and Chris Middlebrook, 20, Indianapolis, it is believed their injuries are not life threatening. McGraw was life lined to Methodist Hospital and Middlebrook was taken to St. John’s Hospital in Anderson.
