State Police Arrest Elwood Police Officer

PENDLETON, IN - Detective Keith O'Donnell arrested Shaun Andy Murray, 28, Anderson on today’s date for theft from the Elwood Police Department evidence room. He is alleged to have taken opiates (pain-killers) from the evidence room for his personal use. Murray is an Elwood Police Officer and their evidence room technician.

ANDERSON, IN - During a time of year that lends itself to widespread celebrations, the Labor Day holiday can quickly turn tragic when an impaired motorist gets behind the wheel. According to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI), the 2007 Labor Day holiday period (6:00 p.m. August 31 through 5:59 a.m. September 4) was the second most deadly time of year on Indiana roadways, resulting in 11 alcohol-related fatalities and 18 alcohol-related collisions.
