July 2008 Mayor Kris Ockomon Interview - Parks, Recreation, Seniors, Jobs, Wheel Tax, Kittens

Parks, Recreation, Seniors, Jobs, Wheel Tax, Kittens

Further info from City Hall...

-Regarding the sewage smell at the stated area, Nara Manor from Water Pollution Control has reported that the area is a combined sewer overflow location that will overflow after a large rain.  She added that that particular site, along with 4 others along White River, are monitored weekly for water quality.

-Regarding the fallen trees in the park, Pam Clendenen of the Parks Department informed me that the trees that are down in Edgewater Park are in an area which has flooded twice this spring.  She stated that the ground was still too soft to bring in the heavy equipment necessary to remove those trees, but that the Parks Department plans to remove them when the ground is solid enough to do so.

Good job, kpaul.  Sounds

Good job, kpaul.  Sounds like he's on top of things.  I sure wish you would've asked him who that gold bust is that's sitting on his desk.  Seriously, you should do these every month.  It's a good way to dispel all the petty, nasty rumors that some people seem to enjoy putting out there and gives him the opportunity to directly communicate with his constituents.

Kewl!  I thought maybe it was a bust of Kevin Smith that he'd left behind when he made his exit.  He seemed like the type of guy who'd commission a bust of himself.
