State Police K-9 Alerts on Large Amount of Cocaine in Anderson

ANDERSON, IN - Indiana State Police Trooper Kendrick Donald’s K-9 "Murtaugh," who took to the streets in June, assisted the Anderson Police Department on Friday, August 8th with a large cocaine arrest.
Murtaugh alerted on a U-storage bin in the 3700 block of MLK in Anderson.
The amount of drugs located by Murtaugh was 275 grams of crack cocaine,
and 235 grams of cocaine. Officers also recovered $2000 in currency,
one handgun, and two ballistic vests.
Murtaugh is one of 27 Indiana State Police K-9’s utilized throughout the state. Each Indiana State Police K-9 is trained in drug detection, tracking, evidence searches, building searches, and controlled aggression.

- Willie Earl Gosha, Jr., 29, Anderson
- Possession of cocaine
- Dealing cocaine
