By sunrise I couldn't believe my eyes,,,,Nobody uses curtains anymore.

Night fishing is always a kick, super dark, just enought moon glow to show you where to steer the boat. All the fish came off plastic baits, plastic worms. plastic grub, & a jumbo sinko.

Summer pattern,, "find grass find bass". This grass was more like weeds along the bank. You just start picking the weeds apart. Start at the front,,, then in the middle. Your next cast is "on" the bank,,, slowly work your bait into the water as a live critter would do.

I also threw a crank bait,, a buzz bait,, and a pop-r. Nothing.

When that happens you go back to your bread and butter bait. The ole plastic Worm. Long after daylight the worm was still producing.

I finished up in some thick moss. I found several bass under the moss (staying out of the bright sunlight.) If you have a plastic frog it is a the perfect bait to throw on top of the moss. Hop it,, skip it,,, work it,,, along the edge line of the moss. It's just like Santa Clause on your roof, "click" "click" "click" The bass will think santa frog is on their roof.

Water temp's are still in the 75* range,,,, (cool nights) In Aug the water should be in the high 80's Also with all the rain we have had,, you can see that the water table in droping. Every lawn sprinkler was on high this morning.

I'm heading over to Prairie Creek Thur. or Friday "IF" you can find them,, the small mouth there can snap your line faster than you can blink your eye. & Ball State College starts this Friday.
