Joe Royer and Anderson Mayor Kris Ockomon cut the ribbon at the Kennedy Crossing dedication and ribbon cutting at the 10th annual Character Counts celebration.
ANDERSON, IN - At a ribbon cutting ceremony today, Anderson Mayor Kris Ockomon gave the 'blue bridge' a name - the John F. Kennedy Bridge of Character or, more commonly, "Kennedy Crossing."
Thousands of people turned out for the 10th Annual Character Counts celebration. A parade crossed the 8th street bridge and made their way to the new pedestrian bridge connecting to Edgewater Park.
After the march and ribbon cutting, Anderson Crime Watch had free food and entertainment at Edgewater Park.
