Retired Songwriter Inducted Into Hall Of Fame
ANDERSON, IN - Songwriter Steve Wallace retired from the music business Jan.30, 2009 after 25 years. During his music career, Wallace, 38, wrote over 200 songs and has won numerous songwriting awards. He's managed to do all this while battling a nerve disorder called 'Dystonia' - which affects his muscles and speech.
He was recognized by former Anderson Mayor Mark Lawler in 1997 by recieving the Outstanding Citizen award for his community activism. He also recieved the Distinguished Hoosier Award from the late Indiana Governor Frank O'Bannon in 2002 for his many accomplishments for the community.
Wallace has been inducted into the Traditional Country Hall Of Fame for his song "Heidi" (sung by Nashvilles Glenn Mayo.) He has also been inducted as a writer for all his accomplishments in country music over the years. He will be featured on country weekly's website at www.countryweekly.com.

Bob Timmers president of the Hall Of Fame and music historian said, "I think Steve is a very talented songwriter who has accomplished alot through his community and the music industry and we are glad to have him in the Hall Of Fame."
