AIMS 7th Annual FREE Little 500 Car Show in Downtown Anderson Town Center

ANDERSON, IN - On Saturday, May 16, 2009, AIMS will host the 7th Annual Little 500 Car Show in Downtown Anderson.  The day will begin with a 10K White River Run at 9:00am, “Bike to Work” Awards Celebration at 11:00am, and Car Show at Noon. Twisted Illusions will co-host the event and organize “Car Club Games” throughout the day.  There will also be a DJ, plenty of fun, food, FREE movie and arts & crafts for kids at the Paramount Theatre, Anderson Town Center and throughout Meridian Street.

Anderson White River Run hosted by the Anderson Road Runners, will begin Registration @ 8:45am; Kids @ 8:30am; and Run @ 9am. The run will begin and end at the Anderson Town Center. Awards will be announced at Anderson Town Center Stage after the race.

“Bike to Work Day” Award Celebration:   “Bike to Work” Day is held Friday, May 15; the Award Celebration for all participants will be held at 11am, May 16, on stage at Anderson Town Center; Come cheer our bicyclists on and learn bicycle safety tips too!

Children’s Activities:  Enjoy a FREE children’s movie at the Paramount Theatre (time & movie TBA), and make fun Children’s Arts & Crafts sponsored by the ANDERSON Center for the Arts.

The 7th Annual Little 500 Car Show will begin at Noon and proceed until 5:00 pm.

• There will be “Top 25 Awards & ceremony”, as well as dash plaques & goodie bags for the first  
• 100 registered custom cars, trucks and motorcycles. Registration -$5.00 entry fee to be judged.
• Over 75 Door Prizes available…
• The Anderson Speedway sprint car will be on display;
• Experience the tastes of award-winning BBQ, outstanding Tenderloins, Lemon Shake-ups, hot       dogs & a  whole lot more;
• Enjoy sounds & children’s activities performed & led by DJ Buddy Patterson throughout the day;
• Miscellaneous art vendors and general vendors will be present;
• Relish in the Paramount’s Beer Garden area;
• Win outstanding Door Prizes (Car registrants only); and enter the 50/50 drawing;
• FREE Admission to the Town Center Car Show Events & Paramount Movie;
• The ‘rain date’ for this show will be SUNDAY, MAY 17, 2009
