Drunk Driver Arrested in Highway Construction Zone

WARRICK COUNTY, IN - Tuesday afternoon, May 19, at approximately 2:15 p.m., Trooper Justin Bean stopped the driver of a 1981 Oldsmobile on S.R. 66 near Sharon Road for driving 56 mph in the 45 mph construction zone. 

The driver identified herself as Colleen Hester, 37, of Evansville.  After confronting the driver, Trooper Bean detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and later found a small amount of marijuana. 

Further investigation revealed Hester was legally intoxicated. She was taken to the Warrick County Jail and was later released after posting bond.

• Colleen T. Hester, 37, 6113 Rockford Drive, Evansville, IN

       1.  Driving While Intoxicated, Class A Misdemeanor

       2.  Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor
