Pursuit, Crash Ends in Arrests

ANDERSON, IN - On Friday, May 22, 2009, Jerry L. Reed, 18, Anderson, and Whitney N. Perry, 18, also of Anderson, were arrested after a pursuit in Anderson that ended with a crash but no serious injuries.

Jerry L. Reed was arrested for felony resisting law enforcement, operating never licensed and reckless driving. Whitney N. Perry was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor resisting officers.

Sgt. William Casey of the Anderson Police Department said that the vehicle wouldn't stop for officers.

The car eventually stopped around 15th and Laurel, when the 1991 Pontiac Bonneville crashed, causing damage to the driver's side of the car.

Police are looking for a third man who jumped from the car early in the incident. If you have any information, call the Anderson Police Department.
