Police Seek Suspected Shooter
ANDERSON, IN – The Madison County Prosecutor has issued a 10-count felony warrant for Daquel Q. Jones the alleged gunman who injured three on May 23, 2009.
Investigators suspect that 18-year-old Jones fired multiple rounds from an assault rifle into a car occupied by four people including a pregnant woman. Three of the four occupants were injured in the hail of gunfire.
Investigators speculate that Jones had argued with an unidentified man outside the Westvale Manor Apartments before firing into the car. Jones reportedly ran west from the scene and has not been seen since.
The arrest warrant includes three counts each of attempted murder (A felony), attempted aggravated battery (B felony), battery by means of a deadly weapon (C felony), and one count of battery resulting in bodily injury to a pregnant woman (C felony).
