Suspected Gunman Arrested from Weekend Shooting
ANDERSON, IN – The suspected gunman in a shooting that left two men injured has been arrested. Late Wednesday, Lonnie M. Jackson, 18, confessed to shooting brothers Dantrez and Daniel Johnson on Saturday following a fight near the intersection of Nichol and Madison Avenues.
According to Jackson, he and several friends were arguing with another group of men that involved the Johnsons. He admitted to firing several shots with a .38 caliber one which struck Dantrez in the back and another hit Daniel in the neck.
Jackson was charged with class A felony attempted murder and class B felony aggravated battery.
According to investigators, their inquiry into the shooting continues as additional charges are possible as they seek to talk with other persons of interest.
