News in the Night 6-22-09

It was a little slow at first then it picked up a little for a Monday morning. Here is what I have today.

 When I first started out there was a call for an APD officer to meet someone at the station to pick up a minor who had been arrested earlier.  The initial charges were posession of marijuana and posession of a handgun. They had tried to get him into the juvenile detention but they had made a mistake with what they told the detention center so they did not take him. They had told them He had misdemeanor charges instead of felony charges. There was another charge but I could not understand what they were saying. The policeman do the affadavit ( I believe he was a detective) was not going to charge him right away with the handgun charge until he talked to the prosecutor. 

 He was released to his gaurdian but when they were at a stoplight at 23rd and Meridian he left the car and walked off. He was picked up a short time later on main st adn was then taken to juvenile. Apparently he had been there before under a different last name than the name he is using now.

 2:27 APD was sent to the 700 block of w 24th st. The caller wanted to report that she was having trouble with her 15 year old daughter who was not there now. She had walked off and the mom did not know what way she had went. At 2:35 They had the daughter on her cellphone. She told the police she was on her way back home from Hendricks st. The officers were not finding her and she hung up on them.

 2:42 Engine 2 1500 block of w 19th lifting assistance. 

 3:13 APD was sent to the 2500 block of Lincoln for the house next door being extremely loud.

 4:04 APD was sent to the 1800 block of e 8th st for w woman who had been having trouble with her neighbors who were not there now.

 4:16 APD was sent to the 2900 block of Lincoln. The caller believed someone had tried to break into her home. A scene tech was later called to take pictures.
