News in the Night 6-27-09

 It was a really busy night last night. Here is what I have for you today. 

 1:45 APD was sent to the 1100  block of Locust to take report of a womans daughter that had been gone since 4:00 pm.

 1:47 APD was sent out the the area of the 400 block of e 60th for 3 male juveniles taking things out of a yard. They were headed towards Main st. with items in their hands.

 1:49 APD was sent to the 1600 block of Meridian st for a trouble with call. I believe that there was someone on the porch that was intoxicated. There were what sounded like a couple of arrests in this immediate are last night but I did not hear what for. I am pretty sure they were related or discovered from being here though.

 1:53 ATTENTION ALL UNITS! A beige Impala was seen leaving Taco Bell on Scatterfield ( did not say which one that I heard). Driver was seen to have an open alcohol container.

 1:54 APD was sent to the 2700 block of Fletcher for a man beating a woman in the front yard. The caller said that she made it inside before the officers arrived and that he was now trying to break into a window.

 1:57 APD was sent to the Pizza Hut in the 2600 block of Nichol for an alarm call. Edgewood PD was sent to back. Edgewood arrived first and the building checked secure and no one was in it or around it. There was no keyholder available so the call was cancelled after this.

  2:17 APD was sent to the 2200 block of w 8th for a 911 hang up call. There was no answer on call back.

 2:25  APD was sent to the 1200 block of w 3rd for a loud banging in the area. Officers could not find anything.

 2:25 An officer was flagged down at 59th st pub. I am not sure what the Officer said it was for but he did say they were checking the tapes now.

  2:41 APD was sent to the 3100 block of Central ( it was closer to Fletcher) for a wheel slumper in a dark Jeep. The caller said the door was open.

 2:46 APD was sent to the 1400 block of Sheridan. The caller said a black SUV was shooting out the wndows of a house at this time. The caller said it was heading toward Madison ave at this time.

 2:51 ATTENTION ALL UNITS! A black HHR was northbound on Scatterfield from 38th st. It was said to be turning in the wrong lane and all over the road.

 2:59 APD was out on 3 individuals at 60th and Columbus. One of the apparent juveniles ran. The officer determined that no signal 100 or perimeter was needed.

 2:59 APD was assisting ISP at 29th and Main st.

 3:06 APD was sent to the Payless at 3050 meridian to take report of rims being stolen and the vehicle was keyed. It was a purple Ford Probe

  3:09 APD was out on Norris dr and south Main st. It was not a radio call so I do not know why they were there.

 3:19 APD dispatch was making calls to try and get the gas pumps up and running so the officers could gas up. They later got them going.

  3:20 APD was sent to the 1600 block of Van Buskirk rd. A 17 year girl was home alone and said she heard a commotion downstairs. She hid in a bathroom up stairs.  She told the dispatcher  she thought that she heard a chainsaw going. When the officers arrived they had her come down. After they checked it out it was all fine.

 3:27 APD was sent to St Johns ER to take report of a man who had been battered by female blacks.

 3:34 APD was sent to the 1300 block of Bramble way. The caller said they thought they heard someone yelling help in the woods behind this house. Officers did not find anything.

 4:08 APD was sent to the 1500  block of Fletcher for a disturbance call. The caller said there were people in the hall and he could not tell if they were fighting or arguing. No one was there wehn the officers arrived.

 4:30 APD traffic stop 14th and Jackson. No ticket.
