News in the Night 6-30-09

 It was a  interesting night. Here is what I have for you now.

 3:03 APD was sent to the 1200 block of w 11th for a man having trouble with a woman.  She is there now knocking on the door.

 3:06 APD was sent to the 2500 block of w 16th ( Courtyard apts). The caller said there was a male black possibly a teenager in a red shirt , blue jeans and white tennis shoes looking in his car in the parking lot. The officers did not find him.

 3:26 APD was sent to 30 w 11th Rickers corporate office for an audible alarm. It checked secure.

 3:32 An APD officer was in the area of 12th and Raible when He asked if anyone had reported any shots fired in the area. He said that he thought that he heard 4 or 5 shots but did not find anything at the time.

 3:37 APD was sent to the 2700 block of w 12th st . The woman caller said that someone had drove by and shot at her house and that there was bullet holes in her house and a bullet on the front porch. She said that she had no description of of who did it. A little while later at 4:27 she called back to report that she had found a bullet in her bedroom.

 3:40 APD was sent to the 1500 block of w 21st. The caller said that there was someone was outside of her house.

 3:46 APD was sent to the area of 26th and Madison. The caller said that they thought that they had heard 5 or 6 gunshots in the area of the Salt Shop or the Marine dr area. I was out on foot really close to this area ( About 2 and 1/2 blocks) and did not hear anything. The officers did not find anything.

 4:05 APD was sent to the Pizza Hut on Nichol ave for an alarm call. It checked secure.

 4:08 Engine 4 , Medic 1 chest pains 1700 block of Bethany rd.

 4:16 APD was sent to the 500 block of Lansdown way. The caller that that when he went out to get his paper he seen two males near his house. When they saw him they took off towards Ritter. The officers did not find anyone.

 4:18 APD was sent to the 600 block of Heritage for a garage door half open. The paper carrier was concerned for the woman who has been in bad health. She was okay. It looked to the officer like something had just been under it when it was being closed.

 4:33 APD was sent back to the area of Lansdown way again. A caller in the 400 block reported 2 males had just run acrossed his yard heading toward Mustin.

 4:40 APD was out on 3 subjects in the 100 block of Lansdown way.

 5:09 ATTENTION ALL UNITS! Be on the lookout for a stolen Chevrolet Silverado stolen from the lapel area and possibly headed toward the westside of Anderson. If spotted contact the Madison County Sherriffs dept.

 5:37 Engine 7 investigate in the 1100 block of e 10th st.

 5:41 APD was sent to the Rickers at 38th and Madison. The clerk said there was a male   possibly intoxicated , slumped over the wheel in a   Trtailblazer. The clerk said that they could not wake them and their music was real loud. When the first officer arrived he told the other officers he was going to wait on them as the driver had his foot on the gas and the engine was racing. The officer was concerned that it might drive into the building when they woke the man. When more officers arrived they discovered there were 2 people in there passed out and they quickly got in and got them into custody.
