NEWS IN THE NIGHT 07-19-09
It was pretty busy most of the night. Here is what I heard while I was out.
2:29 APD was sent to the 2000 block of Jefferson for a return call. Earlier a female was battered and was sent to the hospital. A female threatened the woman caller. She said she was going to get a gun and shoot her in reference to the female that went to the hospital earlier. The caller did not have the name of the female who made the threat.
2:37 APD was sent to the 600 block of Phillips for one male having trouble with another male outside there now refusing to leave and drunk. The man outside was the callers boyfriend.
2:41 APD was sent to 8th and Park ave at the dry cleaners for a man who was possibly passed out after he had walked by.
3:00 APD was sent to Sinbads for 2 females outside fighting in the lot. Weapons unknown. When the officers arrived some of the people involved had left. The officers were told that one of the people had been hit in the head with a beer bottle. The officers reported this to dispatch and asked them to call both hospitals and inquire if any such injuries were being treated. The dispatch told them one already had.
3:10 APD was sent to Cincinnati and Wheeler to the water treatment plant for a female passed out right outside in the field. A water treatment employee called this in. When police arrived they found a 16 year old girl out there. When they got her awake she was having a really hard time with her name. The officers had a relative pick her up.

3:23 APD was sent to the Days Inn 5901 Scatterfield for 2 subjects arguing and the hotel could not get them under control. The officers arrived and got the men under control.
3:53 APD was out on the westside of Anderson ( I am not going to say where as they did not catch the suspect) looking for a battery suspect from Sinbads. They were having a hard time finding who they were looking for as the victim was less than cooperative and the Dr. was threatening to sedate her.
3:55 APD was sent to the 2700 block of Mounds rd . The caller said that another male was on his way to his residence to pick up a female that was there. The caller said that if this man showed up there would be trouble. He also had a complaint reference the man on the way.
4:04 An APD officer was inquiring if anyone had called in shots fired as he thought that he had heard 3 shots in the area of 21st and Columbus. I did not ever hear anymore from this.
4:43 APD was sent to the Village Pantry in the 1600 block of Raible for a black male who had tried to steal alcohol from the store. He did not suceed so he left. A female in the store told the clerk who the man was. He was described as a black male wearing a dark shirt jeans and white tennis shoes.
4:52 APD was sent to St Johns. St Johns was alerting the trauma team in reference to a possible child offense.
5:01 APD was sent to the 800 block of w 53rd st for a battery. The caller said a man had battered his sister and him and the man was still there. The line was disconnected and dispatch was trying to call back. This call was really hard to follow as there was much to it. When the first officer arrived on the scene he immediatley called for a medic as a person was down in the parking lot ( 5:05 ) The dispatch did not hear him or they forgot as they did not send a medic. I was starting to think that I had locked out the AFD channel and actually checked to see why I did not hear the Medic being sent. At 5:09 one of the officers deployed a taser and they had two in custody. They determined that the person who was tased would need to go to the hospital.
5:13 Medic 2 battery victim 800 block of w 53rd.
5:17 APD was sent to the 1600 block of Halford for a woman having trouble with someone there now. They said a name but I could not understand it well enough to tell if it was a man or a woman. The person was in the alley on a bicycle at the time of the call.
5:19 APD traffic stop 32 and Scatterfield. No ticket.
5:43 A scene tech was needed at St johns. They did not say for what.
And that is all Ihave today. Have a great day!
