NEWS IN THE NIGHT 07-30-09

Okay quit complaining ! I am getting to it. It just takes me some time as I am a very slow typer and I was too tired to do it when I came in this morning. Here is what I have for you (YES YOU) today.

2:12 APD was sent to St Johns ER to transport a woman to MCPD.

3:26 APD was sent to the 2100 block of George st for a woman having trouble with a man there now. The part I do not understand was she was not htere at the time. She said that he left on a bike and did not know which way he went or what he was wearing (because she was still not there). He was later described as wearing a white tank top but I did not hear him get caught.

3:38 APD was sent to the 1100 block of Indian Mound dr (Running Springs apts) for a suspicious vehicle  out front with several people sitting in it.

3:50 APD was sent to the 500 block of Broadway for a man having trouble with a woman who was possibly intoxicated.

4:05 An APD officer was going past 8th and Grand and asked dispatch if there was another unit available. He said there was an unoccupied vehicle with its flashers on sitting unattended and was a road hazard.

4:10  Ladder 8, Engine 6, Engine 7, Medic 2, Rescue, Unit 20 6435 Scatterfield Home Design Products fire alarm. It was disregarded by Ladder 8 when they arrived out there and found out it was caused by a forktruck hitting a pole with at least part of the alarm on it.

4:11 APD was sent to the Courtyard apts 2700 block of w 16th for a man having trouble with the people across the hall.

4:30 APD was sent to the 200 block of e Webster. The caller was hearing noises around the house.

4:31 APD was sent to the corner of 19th and Brown-Delaware for 4 juveniles hanging out on the corner.

4:34 Ladder 8 6435 Scatterfield fire alrm. Ladder 8 once again explained about the pole but did it before leaving. Dispatch called the people out at HDP and confirmed it was another false alarm.

4:51 APD was sent to 8th and Grand for a vehicle sitting in the roadway. It was towed and the owner was finally found and notified. The car had been sitting there for a few hours according to a neighbor.

And that is all I have today. Have a great day, and remember tomorrow is Friday!
