NEWS IN THE NIGHT 08-02-09

 There were some calls that I missed after a garage fire broke out in Meadowbrook. I think that I am going to try to reprogram my scanner to help keep that from happening quite so much. Here is what I have today.

  2:53 APD was sent to the 2700 block of e 67th to do a welfare check on a woman. It was called in by Alexandria Police.

  3:00 Engine 6, Ladder 8, Rescue, Unit 20 ( I was in a nursing home and may have missed some units) Structure fire 34th and Main. It was actually an unattached garage on South dr just a couple lots west of Main. It was burning really good when I went by  before a lot of the fire trucks made it there. Investigators were called out for this as well as the building commissioner. 

  3:05 Medic 2 Southdale towers female unconscious possibly deceased  (she had passed).

  3:07 APD was out on a mini van at Shadyside park.

  3:24 Medic 1 300 block of w 7th seizure. It was an extremely intoxicated female. Her family stayed there with her.

  3:42 APD was sent to the 600 block of  w 37th. There was a male  banging on a door just to the west of there and a red  SUV parked out there. The officers did not find anything.

  4:06 APD was sent to the 2300 block of Main st. A woman was having trouble with a  man. He left on foot before the officers arrived.

  4:12 APD traffic stop (these are his words) about the 2800 block of Fletcher or Pearl.

  4:12 APD out on a subject in the 2400 block of Jackson.

  4:20  APD was sent to the 2100 block of Madison ave for a fight that the dispatcher could here in the background.  It was not a fight just a bunch of kids (getcherasses2bed!)

  4:29 ATTENTION ALL UNITS! Be on the lookout for a red Dodge Durango with a black male driver with shoulder length braids and a Chevy Cobalt. These were beleived to be involved in a shootout in Delaware county. It is believed they may be heading to the Anderson area.

  4:47 APD was sent to IHOP for a possible intoxicated person in the parking lot.

  5:05 APD was sent to the 1300 block of Nelle st  for a hit/skip . No description or direction of travel.

   5:35 APD was sent to the 1100 block of Indian Mound dr to take report of damage to a vehicle. I believe that there were several vehicles that had been vandalized out there early this morning that the officers spotted later.

  5:38 APD was sent to the block of 2300 Main st  to contact a woman in reference to theft. This is the same house and couple that called at 4:06. The officer was able to just phone this one in. The boyfriend who lived there took some stuff.
