NEWS IN THE NIGHT 08-05 -09
It was kind of steady this morning. When I started out APD already had a couple minor females that they were checking for alcohol consumption and taking home. Here is what I heard this morning.
2:07 APD was sent to the 900 block of w 9th for a 911 hang up. A female caller said there was a male inside her house and hung up. The dispatcher could hear yelling in the background. He was seen running west towards 10th st.
2:19 APD traffic stop 18th and e Lynn. No ticket.
2:31 APD was sent to Arbor Village apts. 1800 block of e 8th st for a loud music call.
2:38 Medic 1 Arbor Village apts. 1800 block of e 8th st female hit in the head with a piece of concrete. Yes this is the same place as the loud music call. I am not sure if it was a real call or not. It was made on a cell phone and the officers were having a hard time finding it ( at least it seemed like it).
2:53 APD was sent to the 2100 block of Noble. The caller was hearing some loud popping hitting his house and did not know what it was.
3:00 Ladder 1, Medic 1, Rescue 1500 block of Noble unconscious.
3:15 Medic 3 1900 block of e 7th person ill.
4:02 APD was sent to the 1800 block of Main st. a woman may have been battered by her son. The dispatcher said they may both be intoxicated. It turned out to be a service call.
4:06 APD was sent to a house at 1st and Hendricks. The female caller said that she thought that a male was breaking into her house and that she was locking herself in her bedroom. When the officers found the house the front door was open and the back door was not locked. The man was not in the house but a neighbor did see him flee the house and hide behindhis truck before the officers arrived. The only descritpion that I heard was a male black.
4:13 APD was sent to MC Sports for an alarm call. A keyholder came and the officers checked it all out. It checked secure.
A signal 100 was called at 4:17 and was canceled at 4:18 I am pretty sure that it was for the home invasion call.
4:36 Ladder 8, Medic 2, Rescue person unconscious 4100 block of Roundhill dr.
A little before 5:00 a couple of officers were working something in the 800 block of w 1st. They were not dispatched out there ( the dispatcher had to ask where they were). It sounded like they may have been looking for someone and I am thinking that it may have been the guy for Hendricks st.
And that is all I have today. Have a great day!
