NEWS IN THE NIGHT 08-19 -09
It was a sad morning for an Anderson family this morning as I heard on the scanner that someone I knew ended their life. I was not sure if it was who I thought it was at first but there was later enough information given that I realized who it was. It was not too awfully busy beside that so here is what I have today.
1:29 I turned on the scanner and heard fire personnel being sent to St Johns ER for an alarm. I heard Engine 6, Ladder 8, Medic 3 and Rescue on the way and St Johns was telling the dispatcher to go ahead and send them. At 1:30 St Johns called back and said to disregard the alarm.
2:17 APD was sent to the Nathaniel Whitehead law office at 1003 Meridian for an alarm call.
2:58 Engine 6 lifting assistance 400 block of Evan.
3:33 APD was sent to the 1900 block of w 17th for a man having trouble with a woman trying to get in a window (why cant I have those troubles).
3:44 APD was sent to the 1700 block of Johnson ave for a man that had possibly shot himself. The caller said that he was not moving and still had the gun in his hand and was possibly deceased (he was).
3:44 Engine 1, Medic 1 1700 block of Johnson ave possible gunshot victim. It was sad to hear them after they were there to say that they would not be needed.
3:59 APD was sent to Eastside lanes for an alarm call. I think that it checked secure.
4:08 APD was sent to the Mc Donalds at 2014 Scatterfield for a window broken in the drive through. The window was broken out and one of the officers called for a signal 100 (emergency radio traffic only) That lasted from 4:12 until 4:14. I heard one of the Officers say to another that a filing cabinet had been broke into and the safe was messed up pretty bad.
At 4:14 APD was working something (sounded like a possible domestic call) in the 3600 block of Wells. I missed the call for the Mc Donalds call. But no one was arrested and the offcer said that the protective orders had not been violated.
And that is all that I have for you today. Have a great day
