NEWS IN THE NIGHT 09-09 -09

  It was really slow when I first started out then it picked up a little bit. Here is what I have for you today.

   3:50 APD was sent to the 1000 block of  Shellbark rd. The caller named a male and said that he had just broke into the callers car and was now sitting in another car out front. The caller went on to say that now he is leaving on foot and heading towards w 8th st. The male (turned out later to be a minor) was gone when the officers arrived. While they were working this they thought that the male was someone else who they had been called out on earlier. One of the officers warned that he was possibly code 31 (mental) and that the Anderson Center would not take him. He also warned that when he had talked to the neighbors of the earlier incident (which occurred on Costello) and they said he had a large knife and was scraping it on the pavement. The officer warned his fellow officers to be careful. They quickly realized  that they were dealing with another person and that this was not the code 31 person.

   3:55 APD was sent to the 1500 block of Cincinnati ave for juveniles playing loud music. When the caller wanted the music turned down they started cursing at them.

   4:33 APD was sent to the 1900 block of Brown st for someone playing loud music. It was quiet when the officers went through.

   4:55 APD was sent back to the 1000 block of Shellbark for a return call. The young man had came back. The caller said that he was and would be sitting on him until the officers arrived.  He got a ride home in a black and white taxi  .

  4:56  APD was sent to the area of Meijer for two male whites possibly drinking and throwing things at passing cars. The officer deemed it as unfounded after a check of the area.

   5:30 Medic 2 1100 block of e 23rd. person ill.
