but do you believe in the death penalty? I always thought I did, but I'm beginning to have doubts

i think this man did not deserve to live. he killed to many innocent people. life is a gift from god  and he wasted it. in this case i agree with him being put to death.

I know the eye for an eye thing but as I get older I also see the two wrongs don't make a right side of it too. As far as paying for these people to live in the prisions I can see it as an option but I don't know if I'm comfortable taking someone's life for taking someone's life?. My verdict still out on this one

I THINK IF THEY WOULD DO AWAY WITH SOME MORE CLEAN OUT THE  D ETH ROW MAYBE THEN PEOPLE WOULD THINK TWICE BEFOR DO IT AGAIN. IT'S NOT RIGHT OUR TAX MONEY IS GOING UP UPAND UP THEY TELL US THE SCHOOLS ASK ABOUT THE JAILS 35,000.00 A YEAR FOR A HEALTHY INMATE AND HOW MANY ARE SICK..DO YOU HAVE 35,000.00 TO SPEND ON YOU YOUR HUBBYAND EACH KID BECOUSE IF YOU ARE MAKEING THAT KIND OF MONEY WHY DO YOU LIVE WHERE YOU LIVE THAT MEANS YOU MAKE175,000.00 A YEAR. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I HAVE JUST SAID.IF WE LIVE OUT SIDE THE WALLS WE SHOULD LIVE BETTER THAN THE JAIL BIRDS.......

I would have to repeat... He begot what is, of owed.. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth...  for every wrong done there should be a compensating measure of justice. That does not happen in todays times if at all as in times of past..

Now before someones points out we have evolved since then, "Have we really" ..?

Deuteronomy 19:21 "Thus you shall not show pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. 

Leviticus 24:20 fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; just as he has injured a man, so it shall be inflicted on him.

Exodus 21:24 eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot..

Moses intended it to protect person and property by prescribing what punishment the law should inflict. He who took a life should lose his life; he who robbed another of an eye should be punished by the loss of an eye. 

Many use this for retaliation.. It is only Human to hurt after any loss & want others to suffer your same wrath .. Although, many times in todays World it seems a Criminal receives better than any victim ever received.. It is not thought of as of Old Time Law, nor Taught in any of the same form or ways.. Each person should be held accountable for the actions performed by there self..

Nana- if anyone hurt anyone of my family members I'm sure (positive) it would bring me to my knee's. I am strong in my love for my family. Having said that, I do not know it is right to stoop to a level of anger and bitterness that problably is why the person did what they did to begin with.

Penn and Tiller did a wonderful special on this topic.

I agree with them that the death penalty should be abandoned.
