ANDERSON, IN - A groundbreaking celebration for 1st Home Advantage Indiana will be held Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at 1804 Sheridan St. in Anderson.
The project is made possible by a partnership of City of Anderson Community Development Office and Rural Opportunities Housing Corporation of Indiana (ROHCIN). ROHCIN, an affiliate of Rural Opportunities, Inc (ROI), is a private, not-for-profit regional housing and community development organization providing services in Madison, Delaware, Blackford, Henry, and Randolph Counties.
The groundbreaking is for a ROHCIN single family homeownership development project. 1st Home Advantage Indiana will consist of the construction of three affordable single family homes for purchase by first-time, low to moderate-income homebuyers in the City of Anderson.
The project is funded by grants from the City of Anderson Community Development Department, NeighborWorks of America, and a construction loan from ROI. Eligible homebuyers may receive as much as $15,000.00 of assistance for downpayment and closing costs.
