NOBLESVILLE, IN - The Indiana Department of Transportation has awarded E&B Paving of Anderson a contract to patch and resurface 6.5 miles of divided highway on S.R. 37 from I-69 to Allisonville Road.
E&B Paving of Anderson submitted the lowest of five bids, securing the $1.8 million contract.
Night work will begin next year to grind one inch off the pavement surface and replace with a 1.5 inch layer of new surface asphalt. Patching and resurfacing work prevents potholes and prolongs pavement life, helping create a safer, smoother riding surface for motorists.
At last count, over 38,000 vehicles travel this stretch of highway each day.
