Indiana Economic Growth Team Premiers
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Three of the state’s premier firms have joined forces to create the Economic Growth Team. The team will assist Indiana communities and private companies to build
foundations for sustainable, long-term job growth and economic
development.
The three firms, Hannum, Wagle and Cline Engineering (HWC), Garmong
Construction and Strategic Development Group (SDG), launched the
partnership at the Indiana Economic Development Association’s annual
conference Dec. 13th in Indianapolis.
What makes this alliance different is its comprehensive approach; it
provides targeted professional services from surveys that gauge public
support, financing and leasing assistance, to construction of
environmentally sustainable infrastructure, sites and buildings.
“Businesses will locate and expand where there is suitable property,
but they’re also looking for good roads, good schools, affordable
housing, attractive parks and vibrant downtowns,” said Thayr Richey,
president of SDG. “It’s this total package that creates the strongest
environment for job creation. Our new team will take us from helping
communities create achievable plans to making those plans a reality.”
The Economic Growth Team can help:
• Analyze economic and community development needs for sound planning;
• Prioritize capital improvements in areas such as business park
development, transportation, land use, environmental protection, public
facilities, and downtown revitalization;
• Finance, design and build selected capital improvements that will
provide a firm foundation for present and future job growth.
Hannum, Wagle and Cline Engineering and Garmong Construction have been
affiliated since 1989, and Garmong has been in business since 1923.
Both firms have offices in Indianapolis, Lafayette, Scottsburg, and
Terre Haute. Ralph Wagle, who serves as president of both firms,
emphasized that, “The relationship between HWC and Garmong has been a
tremendous advantage to our clients in providing seamless design,
project financing, and build services. But positioning communities and
companies to prosper requires strategic
investments in infrastructure and facilities. With Strategic
Development Group as a partner, we have added a new dimension to our
ability to help our clients make wise investment decisions.”
SDG has provided research, planning, and management services for
hundreds of Indiana communities. The firm has been in business since
1991 with a corporate office in Bloomington.
The Economic Growth Team is now available to help communities and
companies build sustainable foundations for successful futures.
