Ok, I'm thinking of doing an interview (maybe once a month) with Mayor Ockomon if he has time. Maybe a half hour or so?

With that in mind, this thread is for questions that you, the citizens, have for him. I, your humble publisher, can be messenger boy and relay the questions to him and get them answered on audio.

Now, I'm not guaranteeing that I will use all (or, indeed, any) of the questions posted here, but you're a pretty smart bunch, so I'm thinking we'll get some great questions.

Finally, what ideas do you have to make this process/idea better?

Thanks.

How much do you plan on spending on infrastructure improvements? (road paving, sidewalk repair, tearing down eyesores)

What types of job creating businesses do you plan to try to attract to Anderson and how will you go about it?

Ask him to rank his city services from top to bottom and why he put them in that order.

Has he developed a comprehensive plan regarding the spike of crime in the city. I don't know if it is a real spike, or a percieved spike, but it seems there has been 1 or 2 robberies every week for the last couple of months.

Good question as beat five crime has gone up I think 47%.

I would like to know how long it will be before this administration sees daylight, after the financial straits previous administration left the city in?

In the past the police and fire departments budget were cut the most.  Will this be the case for this administration?

Not to start a debate on this thread, and medic knows I am on his side, but PD and FD do have some of the biggest shares out of the budget. I'm sure any discussion on paper, shows it is easisest to cut amounts from the larger line items then it is the smaller line items. But it is a very good question, considering both services are running very thin as it is.

Police ands fire have the biggest budgets for a reason. Be cause they are the most important IMO.

They should cut 5% from every other department IMO.

Life or death certainly outweighs planting pretty flowers or lighting crystal arches.
