2008 State of the Free Press Project

KPaul,
Your excitement is contagious. I think you are living a dream that many people are too afraid, or otherwise not able to carry out. Reading that post, you made me feel like I was watching a child describe his first fishing trip with his father. If that makes sense at all. I know what I meant at least. There is something to be said for this community. It takes a while to become a respectable buisness. It happens only with perserverance and dedication. I am sure somewhere along the line people had to have told Sam Walton he would fail at his venture. He more then likely felt disouraged at times as well. Is AFP the next Wal-Mart? No. Is AFP the next Herald Bulletin? No. Does it want to be? No.
This can be so much more then just the morning newspaper. With an active paid, and voulenteer community, AFP will thrive and prosper on current "media" shortcomings.
Good Luck, I know I don't have much time, money, or resources but, the offer still stands if you need help you can always ask1.
1Did you get a ride tomorrow?
Giggity

Haven't heard yes. I had a possible... Are you near Elwood?
Also, may have found an old 1980s police car for $500 I may be getting if the other one doesn't go through soon...

I'm not near, but I have gas and a working (for now) car. If you could find out in the next couple of hours and let me know. I would have to reschedule something tomorrow, but I could help ya out.
Giggity

I have a call out and am waiting to hear back. I'll let you know.
And thanks. I am excited.

I was asked to write a guest post at NewAssignment.net (a pretty big deal in the journo world...)
Anyway, wanted to leave a link here. Please go read and offer up your opinion here or there.
Thanks!
