Freckles - Border Collie, Australian Shepherd [Mix]

I'm Freckles and I was recently rescued from a shelter on 01/18/08. My new foster parents are getting to know me and learning more and more about me each day I'm here. They are teaching me exciting new things, like what a leash is, how to sit and stay and something they call "manners". I have been crate trained as well and really do enjoy my crate, but I have lots of free time outside of it as well. It looks like there are other dogs here for me to play with and I'm going to slowing meet them all, but I had a bad case of kennel cough when I arrived and have been isolated from them so far.

There are some cats here too, and I'm very curious about them. I don't know if they like me or if I like them or even want to play with them yet. I will have to let you know about all that later. I weigh 45 pounds and I am approximately 1 year old and I am all puppy!!!

I'm not sure what breed of a dog I am, but we think I look like a Border Collie or maybe Australian Shepherd or a Spaniel mix.

I'm very friendly once I get to know you, but it is obvious that I did not have proper socialization as a young one. When meeting new people I might grumble for just a bit, but then I'm okay after that and all I want from you is your undivided attention. I am extremely sweet, loving and I like to cuddle, when I can settle down. I crave love and attention and just can't get enough.

I also have a lot of energy, so my new home will need a big fenced yard for me to go out and play and run. My foster parents recommend that I go to an obedience class right away with my new guardians.

Wanna go? Adoption donation is $200 and includes neuter, microchip, heartworm test which was negative, but needs retested in 6 months for accuracy, vaccines including boosters, rabies, lepto, bordetella, fecal test, current heartworm and flea prevention.
