EAST CENTRAL INDIANA - Steve Wallace of Anderson,Indiana used to race BMX in the early 80's but had to retire due to a nerve disorder called 'Dystonia' which affects his muscles and speech. Wallace raced at NBL and ABA tracks. Wallace is still involved in BMX by promoting the sport anyway he can.
March 26 is Wallace BMX Day. It's a day to get involved with your local track, get your bike ready for spring or racing, take your bike to your local bike shop for a tune up, or simply go for a bike ride with your family. BMX has always been a family sport and a non-profit organization.
