Here is the question of the day and I am sure someone will enlighten me. How can you support the troops without supporting the war. I have heard so many trrops say they do believe in what they are doing and why they are there. I personally do not like the war but I feel they go hand in hand in supporting the troops.
CF, I can only speak for myself. The soldiers who are in the Middle East are doing their job, whether they believe in the mission or not. That's what I support....that they get home to their loved ones in one piece, mind and body.

That is support of the troops. As far as some of them supporting the war, yes, some do. Then again, as in any group of people in America (or the world for that matter) some don't (a majority in my view). But, wars are created by leaders (sic), it is the mission of the warriors to obey orders, they fight where and when they are ordered to fight. It has to be this way or there is chaos. Chaos would bring on even worse results.

I do need to make a small caveat here. Even though I believe I would support the troops with the same relish regardless, I must confess that I was a warrior in another place and time. This is for all who do not already know it. However, I don't feel this makes me totally exempt from this question, if to some it does ~ sorry about that and too bad!

Thank you Sippi, I fought so that all have a right to say and believe as they wish. Where ever you stand, you are a Patriot (if you want) and no one, including the POTUS and his Vice can take that away. That is FREEDOM!
It would be impossible for
It would be impossible for me to not. The warriors are a totally separate issue from the war. Then, now and always!
Exactly, Vic!

I don't think it makes you
I don't think it makes you exempt at all. If anything it makes you the most qualified to answer it!
