has to be someone better. i did not like the way smith left office and don't like the way ockomon lead us to believe all these good things were going to happen before he knew for sure.
at least i didn't put Baylor on this poll. ;)
ockomon's not doing bad in my book. he has a lot to deal with...
i wonder if everyone started thinking the recession was over that it would be over ...
So kind of reverse psychology thing? Probably not going to convince too many people it is over until the unemployment rate is out of the toilet, but then again I don't think our state includes people that can no longer draw unemployment but are still actively seeking employment in their numbers.
The economy is partly a function of belief. If you believe the economy is getting better, then you may be induced to spend a little more and that in turn will fuel recovery when multiplied by millions of people having the same belief. If you instead believe that the economy is going to get worse, you will hold back on spending which will in turn delay recovery. The belief, to a certain extent, is self-perpetuating.
Each have their own ideas on making things happen. One thing I know is at Purdue Unversity by I-69 the school asked for projects for students to work on during a semester and from what I understand Ockomon staff gave Purdue Smith's project ideas that Smith started but did not finish and handed them to Ockomon staff and Ockomon staff had not even looked at them to get them complete. Some were easy and others needed a lot more time and effort.
