They should start going up in February and come down in January. Maybe you should even have a section of your house and yard left decorated and lit for it year round. Can you tell I get goofy for Halloween?
At my house we have already put up fall decorations: scarecrow wreath, leaves, Indian corn, etc. About a week before Halloween we add Halloween decorations to that as well as a jackolantern. After Halloween, our fall decorations stay up through Thanksgiving and we replace the jackolantern with an ordinary pumpkin.
I absolutely LOVE Halloween...but I wait until the first of October to put my stuff out.
Now sometimes(I didn't do it this year) we leave our Christmas tree up and decorate it for each of the holidays....valentine hearts...easter eggs.....4th of July flags...and so on...even do St Paddys day. But this year we were remodeling that room and I took it down. people think I am crazy but it is a focal point in that room and is a conversation starter....
ours wont go up unless i can find them in our basement mess.
WE MOVED HERE IN 2002 JAN THIER ARE IN THR BASEMENT.I DO HAVE A FEW UP HERE BUT THE GOOD ONES ARE DOWN THERE.
