Congressman Mike Pence Welcomes ACS to Anderson

Washington, DC - U.S. Congressman Mike Pence congratulated Affiliated Computer Services and the city of Anderson today on the news that the company will bring 500 jobs to Anderson.

“The integrity and work ethic of the people of Anderson are a perfect fit for Affiliated Computer Services,” said Pence. “This new company will bring new opportunities to Hoosier families in Madison County.”

“I congratulate Governor Mitch Daniels, Anderson Mayor Kevin Smith and the numerous other city and county officials who worked so hard to bring Affiliated Computer Services to eastern Indiana.”

The man on the left is Lani Czarniecki, District Director for Congressman Pence. The man on the right is Barry Welsh who is running against Congressman Pence in the November elections. Mr. Czarniecki thanked the group for coming in and expressing thier concerns. This was an anti-war protest outside of Congressman Mike Pences office in downtown Anderson, IN. The group protesting was moveon.org, a political action group. The group passed out press information stationg that the cost to Indiana tax payers for the Iraq war is at $6.94 Billion and in district 6, where Congressman Mike Pence is, is at $715 Million.

Barry Welsh is running against Congressman Pence in the November elections. Mr. Welsh addressed the small crowd stating that he was not here for his campaign, but here for the moveon.org politcal action group. "I am here because we need to force our leaders to look at the truth [about the war in Iraq]." He also stated that [congress] needs to refocus on the safety of our own nation. This was an anti-war protest outside of Congressman Mike Pences office in downtown Anderson, IN. The group protesting was moveon.org, political action group.
