PENDLETON — A sudden, unexpected storm blanketed the Madison County area with as much as 4 inches of snow Tuesday morning, causing dozens of traffic accidents including a 34-vehicle pileup that left two Anderson residents dead.
According to officials at the Indiana State Police Pendleton Post, Dustin Goettman, 27, Anderson, and Ryan A. Phillips, 28, Anderson, died in the 34-car accident. The name of a third victim was withheld Tuesday night by authorities as they sought to notify relatives. Several others suffered less-severe injuries in the chain-reaction crash, which involved five semitrailers and a fire truck.
The accident occurred about 9:45 a.m. two miles south of the Indiana 238 exit in Hamilton County. Police said “near whiteout conditions existed at the time of the crash due to blowing snow.”
More details of the accident can be found in coverage of Page A6 of Wednesday’s newspaper.

Ryan Phillips is my nephew. Both of these young men left behind wives and children. Please open you hearts to help with support of these families.
If you have any questions or commits please contact me here or call 765-621-2557
I just spoke with Chris and even though I can not attend I am going to donate. Both wives have children to take care of after their loss. The loss for both of them is bad enough, but now they must try to take care of the children alone. Hope everyone that is able can find it in their hearts to help the cause. If you can't go call him and he will pick up your donation or you can mail it.
Thank you very much Colts Fan. I know time are tough for all of us, but every little bit will help.
Stay tune for more.
God Bless,
Chris Phillips Media
Hope you had a great turn out
Thank you.

Do you have any clue yet if you guys did well? I hope you did.
I'm sorry I don't know. I am trying to help with sharing the need with the community.
Thanks,
Chris
Chris Phillips Media -- If you don't mind my asking, how is everyone holding up?
I hope all is going well so far -- death is a very, very difficult thing.
Also, is there an obituary available online somewhere?
