Anderson City Council 9/11/8 - Full - Part 3 - Amendment 39-08 is tabled after much discussion.

Issues raised -

• Fees for adoptions (or whether it should be changed to be donations only.)
• Who makes up the Animal Care and Control Board - Anderson only residents?

Councilman Davis brought up her neighbor who had dogs and puppies that just disappeared. According to Animal Care and Control, once 23 kittens were brought  in a box. Puppies with Parvo also showed up. It happens on a daily basis. Donations for taking animals is brought up.

If it goes to donations, there is no ordinance needed. Councilman Muir was opposed because of a fear people would only donate small amounts. 

Councilman Muir said it was getting redundant and he wanted to get it moving.

Councilman Dixon brought up that there was a motion on the floor to table it. He seconded the motion to table the discussion until the next meeting.

A vote was taken. President Newman was the deciding vote when he decided to table the discussion until the next meeting.
